Prestasi RIENGKES

Another proud achievement was achieved by students of the Bachelor of Architecture Study Program, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University (FTUB). The student team consisting of Gregory Renard Riadi (NIM 2250605011110402) and Jerry Chrystian Harsono (NIM 225060507111025) won 3rd place in the national competition Urban Oasis Integration Public Space Design 2025.

The competition, which was held by the Architecture Study Program of Krisnadwipayana University, will take place from October 30, 2024 to January 15, 2025.

The work submitted in this competition is entitled Taman Riengkes, designed to solve urban problems in big cities like East Jakarta. Population growth and urbanization have triggered various problems such as air pollution, lack of green space, slums, brawls, illegal parking, and unorganized street vendors.

Factors such as lack of government support, community habits, and family economic instability further exacerbate this condition. In response to these challenges, Riengkes Park is proposed as an integrated public space that is inclusive, multifunctional, and sustainable.

This success is real proof that FTUB Architecture students can compete in the national arena with creativity and qualified skills. Gregory and Jerry expressed their gratitude and pride in this achievement.

"We are very grateful to be able to participate and win 3rd place in this event. The process we went through was full of challenges, but also very valuable for our self-development and professionalism in architecture," they said.

Congratulations to Gregory Renard Riadi and Jerry Chrystian Harsono on their achievements! May this success be the beginning of other brilliant achievements in the future. Keep up the spirit of working and keep achieving!
